Mobile Notary & Loan Signing Cancellation Policy

At Signature Line Notary Services, we provide professional mobile notary services and loan signing agent services with punctuality, accuracy, and convenience. Because our mobile notary appointments require reserved time, travel, and document preparation, the following cancellation policy applies to all scheduled services.

By booking an appointment with our mobile notary or loan signing agent, you agree to the terms below.


Mobile Notary Appointment Cancellations

24+ Hours Notice

Clients who cancel their mobile notary appointment more than 24 hours before the scheduled time will not be charged a cancellation fee.

Less Than 24 Hours Notice

Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled mobile notary service may be subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of the agreed service fee.

Our time is reserved exclusively for your appointment, and short-notice cancellations prevent us from serving other clients.


Same-Day Cancellation & Mobile Notary Travel Fee

As a traveling notary public, we incur travel time and transportation costs for every appointment.

If:

A mobile notary travel fee will apply.

If the signing does not proceed for reasons outside of the notary’s control, applicable travel fees and preparation fees may still be due.


No-Show Policy for Notary Appointments

If the signer is not present at the scheduled location at the agreed appointment time and cannot be reached within 15 minutes of arrival, the appointment will be considered a no-show.

A no-show fee of $25 may apply.

This policy applies to both general notary work (GNW) and loan signing appointments.


Loan Signing Agent Cancellation Policy

For loan signing services, real estate closings, refinance signings, seller packages, HELOC signings, and reverse mortgages:

Loan signing appointments require document review, dual printing, scheduling coordination with title companies, and time-blocked availability. Last-minute cancellations directly impact scheduling capacity.


Rescheduling a Mobile Notary Appointment

Appointments may be rescheduled without penalty when notice is provided at least 24 hours in advance.

Rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be treated as a cancellation and subject to applicable fees.


Emergency & Weather Exceptions

We understand that emergencies and severe weather conditions occur. Exceptions may be granted at the discretion of the notary public in cases of:

Compliance & Right to Refuse Notarization

As a commissioned notary public, we are legally required to refuse service if:
